Flying Monkeys and Golf Balls
I was feeling a lot better today so I got back to the gym after a 4 day break. It was okay but light weights/high reps hurt SO much more than high weights/low reps. Earlier today I hit up the EECS career fair some free stuff but it was pretty small and I only scored a keychain and pen.
So far physics lecture has been pretty useful in the sense of teaching me about physics. We have had a couple of cool demonstrations, the coolest one being a hanging stuffed monkey falling and being hit with a golf ball from a cannon across the room to demonstrate projectile motion.
Oh I watched Lord of the Rings a few nights ago and let me just say WHERE WAS THE ENDING????? I know its a trilogy, but Star Wars was a trilogy too, each movie had SOME SORT OF CLOSURE, some issue of the story was resolved. LOTR was just three hours of exposition. And why did they have to kill Gandelf? OK I’m gonna go do the calculus I promised to do last night.
